Thank you for sharing so much of what you’ve been up to but also finding kind of hard and learning to adjust to. I know with our youngest over a thousand miles away … I relate to that aching feeling of consistently missing them. And although my other two live within twenty - thirty minutes of me, getting used to the next season has been a challenge. I am slowly starting to see things I truly love and enjoy about the season I’m in. It’s always good to reflect on the year and see how far We’ve come and all that we walked through. To me, it gives so much evidence to “He is so faithful!” ♥️

Everything Sad Is Untrue...I got it for my birthday last year (which will be a year ago on Friday) and somehow realized as I read your post that I still haven’t read it yet. It just got bumped to next in line!

My mom tried to read it and had trouble. I should have mentioned that I listened to this one, and I think that’s the way to go because he is an amazing narrator and gives real voice to the humor. It might be harder to “get” fully just reading it. For what it’s worth:)

Oh, I might do that then so I can start it now. I struggle with “listening” to books as opposed to reading. I was just telling a friend at church yesterday to be proud of me because I had finished a whole book, The Story Girl by LM Montgomery, and back in early December The Four Loves by CS Lewis. She was properly impressed because other than those I listened to A Connecticut Yankee in King Arthur’s Court read by Nick Offerman (it was fabulous!) about 5 years ago.

I also found and loved Claire Keegan recently and had the same response to Everything Sad is Untrue. I’ve added the other fiction you mentioned as well as the Bonhoeffer titles to my TBR. I always enjoy your writing- thank you for sharing the glimpses into your life and thoughts.
