Really well put, Christine. Your words take me right back there to so many special people, special moments, special memories.

This is beautiful and made me cry as I remembered so many of these same things. Thank you for your beautiful words and the obedience of your family to go and do and be and serve……wherever He leads.

Christine,

I appreciate your articulation of the details. During my short stay there, I often tried to be in the moment as I acknowledged the physical and social similarities and differences to home, South Florida. It helped to share what I referred to as “China Chronicles” on Facebook. Reading your words remind me of the details I couldn’t quite express as well as my experiences sharing space with you and your beautiful family. I didn’t mean to stare, but in addition to the physical beauty that each of you exhibited, but you all appeared to exist so well in a place that was fairly new to you at the time.

You each seemed to thrive so well in your individual worlds as well as together as a family. I was blessed to be a part of your oldest daughter’s world a few times each week. What she brought to the classroom was a direct reflection of the Lord’s blessing in your family. Her knowledge, desire to learn, cooperation, kindness, and even respect shown made her a delight as she entered my world.

I’m grateful for my experiences in China, particularly those shared with the lovely people of TIS and the communities in which I lived.

I wish you and your family peaceful transitions to life here in the states.

We never lived abroad. But can sure empathize when we left FL 7 years ago. It was as if the Leaving made us realize how God had taught us so much in those 10 years. The hard places and everything in between were something to be thankful for.

God bless you all as you venture into this next season. I pray your hearts of gratitude will flow into the next place. Things are so much easier when we are thankful. ♥️
